Info for Workshops and Private Parties and Kid Parties
What is OPEN PAINT Session?
PICK YOUR PROJECT is where you can come alone or with your friends. You purchase your choice of sign by registering at www.rustycottagetn.com or by clicking one of the workshops on the Home page. Show up 15-20 minutes early so that you can get your project, choose your seat and paint colors. We have over 60 beautiful and trendy paint and stain colors for you to choose from. Each class offers up to 15 different projects you can make. No one has to make the same item as the other person. Everyone attending a workshop must register for a project.
DROP IN AND PAINT is where you can join us anytime during the time posted. No registration is needed unless you want a specific item and personalization ready for you. Choose "Custom Item" and enter as much information as you can. During this time you choose your stencil and corresponding wood. Prices vary from $6 and up, on all ready to make items.
How do we book a private party or request a workshop date?
Send us an email to rustycottagetn@gmailcom. Let us know time frame you are looking for, how many people and if you have a specific day of the week or time of day you are looking for. The more information we have, the better we can answer your questions and get you set-up to come paint.
What type of parties can you do?
We do all kinds of groups and events for ages 5 and up! Birthday parties, Bachelorette parties, Bridal Shower, Baby Shower, Church groups, Girl’s Night Out, Team Building & Holiday parties, just name a few. We also offer kids parties as well.
How many people do we need for a private party/group?
We can do most size groups. If you would like a private party, we do require a minimum of 10 people. We can combine your group with another smaller group to fill the large classroom. Email us for reservations and we'd be glad to accommodate you. We require a $50 deposit for all Private Parties. The deposit is non-refundable but can be credited toward a future class or project, in the event the party is cancelled. You must give a 7 day cancellation notice, by email, in order to receive the credit or you forfeit the deposit. This credit is good for 180 days from date scheduled event.
How many people can you accommodate?
We can accommodate up to about 30 people.
How much is a class?
Most projects range $30-$55.
How long is a class?
You have 2 hours - 2 1/2 hours for a class session depending on projects being offered.
How far in advance do I need to book a party or group?
If you want a weekend session, we do recommend you plan in advance as those days do fill up first (typically 4-5 weeks out). If you are wanting something during the Holiday season, it does fill up earlier as well. The farther out you can plan the better, we offer sessions 6 days a week (Monday - Saturday)
Can we bring in food?
Yes, you are welcome to bring in your snacks & beverages/wine. We do provide complimentary water for all events/classes. For groups or parties, we can have an area to set up food as well.

The cost for a kid birthday party is $250. We require a deposit of $50, of the $250, to hold your date and time (nonrefundable). This price includes crafts for up to 10 children ($17 each additional craft). All craft supplies and paints are included.
What You Get
Includes 2.5 hours of studio time which includes 30 minutes for decorating and set up, craft time - 1 hour, food and gift time - 1 hour.
We do all of the clean up.
If needed we can provide a gift tables, 2 drink dispensers, and round cup cake stands. We provide a birthday sign for photos, crafts and all supplies, aprons, and instructors to assist the children with their crafts.
A cancellation notice should be given, by email, 7 days in advance. We know that unexpected things happen in life, so you will have 90 days from the scheduled date to reschedule the party. After the 90 days has passed and no party has been scheduled, you forfeit your deposit.
Choice of Unicorn craft, Dream Catchers, Shaped Door Hanger, or 12x12 signs.
If you would like to bring your child in with a small group of friends, (5 or less), to do just a birthday craft, we can schedule a date and time for that as well. The cost of each craft is $20. No party, gifts or food can be done during this one hour period of time. We will provide all crafts and supplies needed along with an instructor.
Cancellation Policy: Due to our items being hand-made, we have a NO REFUND policy for paint sessions. You must provide at least a 24-hour advance notice if you cannot make your reserved class in order to receive a credit toward a future class. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to cancel. If you have no show for a workshop that you have reserved, or do not give 24-hour notice, you will forfeit your payment.
We reserve the right to cancel any workshop and reschedule for a future date.
No refund or returns on any paints or supplies.
